The Winehouse is located 20 minutes from downtown Queenstown (or 15 minutes from the airport), at the gateway to Gibbston, the ‘Valley of Vines', and adjacent to the original Kawarau Bridge Bungy Centre.  Arrowtown is also only 10 minutes away and we work with a range of transport providers and accommodation providers.

The Winehouse is the perfect romantic location for your special day. This historic homestead nestled among the vines at the gateway to Gibbston offers beautiful gardens, rugged scenery, and the very best of Central Otago food, wine and hospitality.

Our large croquet lawn is the perfect location for a garden ceremony. Your guests enjoy pre dinner drinks and canapes allowing your guests to socialise and relax before the reception. The gorgeous gardens and the grounds provide beautiful backgrounds for your photographer.

This fabulous lovingly restored turn of the century villa invokes a sense of New Zealand pastoral heritage. Gorgeous bay windows look out to the potager garden and French doors make a dramatic entrance to the stunning courtyard pavilion.

Seating up to 150 guests with the opportunity to extend this to a seating number of 250, the pavilion is the perfect space to sit back, relax and enjoy the reception proceedings. Our professional team will ensure the needs of your guests are taken care of while you relax and enjoy your big day. Our kitchen team deliver fresh and inspired menu dishes matched with the very best of Central Otago Wines.

The venue hire fee includes the following

  • Exclusive use of the venue grounds & facilities for the duration of your day;

  • Reception table plan design & assistance of what will suit your guest numbers best;

  • Set up of your ceremony and reception tables;

  • Rectangular tables, chairs and linen are all included in the venue hire fee. Numbers greater than 120 may incur a surcharge to hire in additional tables and chairs;

  • Venue coordinator to assist with any other additional theming requirements and assist with other planning aspects of your day from timeline to helicopter landings;

  • An on the day personal event manager to make sure your day runs smoothly. They will work closely with your MC to navigate your day through dining and speeches seamlessly.
